Late game lag?

Just lost a game because past like month 6 it felt as if I have 800-1000 ping. Thing is, I was the host, my net is great, and nobody else in the lobby had any problems but me. Any tips?

I have a ryzen 5600 and 6700XT and I lowered graphics to medium,I also increased virtual ram and fullscreen mode with native resolution. I try to avoid big map and stick to medium because it's always laggy in late even playing solo. I think game is poorly optimised atm but you can dodge this issue by just reducing graphics. Try to switch to opengl or directX depending of what work better for you.

Bumping this... just lowered graphics setting to Medium, and it made a big improvement from high.

And really, there isn't that big of a difference between high and medium graphics in this game anyway.

Yeah I didn't notice any difference visually (maybe if zoomed in all the way there's some added detail, but who plays like that?)

Also I know from other games, turning off the animations on all the units and environment etc helps too, but there's no option for that in Dune.
