Factions symbols on tech tree

Hi,

I see several techs have my faction's symbol on them. What does this mean? Are they techs that work particularly well with my factions bonuses or something??

Those are technologies unique to your faction.

More specifically, it means you have a special version of that technology that usually is somewhat better than the normal version with a special spin for your factoin.

In some cases, you get an entirely different thing that is just completely unique to your faction.

Some of the really strong 'special research options' have minor drawbacks as well.

I've got another noob question. I have assigned an agent to Arrakis Information and I want to use him to resolve a discovery but the option is greyed out. He has taken Arrakis information to lvl1. What do I need to do?

The discovery needs to be either in your territory or in a territory adjacent to your territory.

You cannot be resolving another discovery.

Both of these should show in the tooltip if you hover the Resolve button.
