Ways to get hegemony points.
When choosing a faction, you need a hint for what exactly hegemony is given. In addition to paying spice and seizing territories.

Can someone list which faction is awarded points for what?
Alkuperäinen julkaisija: chrcoluk:
What I know is when you hover over hegonomy in the game, it shows you how it has been obtained.

I have only seen these five things listed there.

Conquering villages.
Spice deliveries.
Special regions.
Agent.
Special village building (forgot its name).

Never seen anything else listed, there is an agent that comes with +1 hegonomy per day but its a very rare spawn. On missions with spice, hegonomy rises really rapidly, and can be more than conquering villages.

Also if you get the 15% hegonomy bonus, it applies to all existing hegonomy as well, not just new after that point.

If you abandon or lose a village you lose hegonomy also. Thats the only way I know to get it down, if you too close to victory condition and want to play longer.

Things have changed a lot since the game release in EA. The above post is false information due to the changes.

Start a game with each faction, get your mouse over the hegemony point(top right of the UI) and you will see what each faction needs to earn hegemony.

More territories + tax + is same for everyone and each faction has a unique way as well. Smugglers for example, used to gain hegemony by pillaging, but it was too strong and now, they only get extra when building underworld HQs.

Atreides: Council Voting Results - slightly random factor; if you have supported the relevant law or bill (which has been approved as active), you will receive points. This encourages the use of political advantage. Each pushed bill grants Hegemony points, not just political benefits. +8 Hegemony for the adopted resolution in which you voted .
The Harkonenns : amount of Intel spent on operations - these points are easy to get when you increase your Intel production. You can also buy them from other factions by trading.
Smugglers : number of villages pillaged - pillaging villages is the main activity that smugglers perform in their spare time. You will not only earn resources this way, but also raise your position in the faction ranking.
Fremen: the amount of produced water - converted into Hegemony points, regardless of whether it is used somewhere or not. The disadvantage of the solution - you can lose these points if you do not keep the water-harvesting areas.
In summary: you can earn points for military, economic, commercial and political activities. Each faction has different traits that will allow it to quickly gain Hegemony points.
Pretty sure that was removed.

A quick google search did all the work for me. Just a tip.
Before replying with a copy-paste from Google, look at the publication date.
Yeah I wouldnt google, 95% of it is from 2022, when people rushed to make guides for a beta game.

Sure, but the answer is still out there. Google knows.

I need to know how it works now. I already know how it worked before.
People who don’t know themselves, but at the same time respond with information from Google, are truly interesting.

I like the main building that produces +15 hedge a day, I always go for that one. (its blue)

There are research stuff for hedge as well, but I can't remember all the names of each faction, I mostly play Fremen but in the campaign I play Atreides.

Just go through your research tree you'll figure it out.
I would like to know how to loose hegemonie. Is that possible ? I would like to lower the enemys hegemonie until i'm at 30k ... Somewhere i read that u loose it when loosing harvesters, is that right ? -> that would mean i just need to aim at enemy harvesters to hold them down !?

"chrcoluk" wrote u would loose it by loosing villages, is that right ?

... i have done a match playing Atreides, focusing on killing the Harkonen. Shortly after destruction of harkonen, Fremen won by hegemonie, That was very Frustrating cause i spent serval hours on that round.

As far as i can see it, winning by hegemonie is the easyest way and it looks like u need to focus on war against everyone to get that done.

Liberate their villages in the special areas that's giving them hedge.
They lose 1000 hedge when you do that.

I believe you're right some buildings also give hedge but I don't know them all.
Anyway that's what I've done and it works pretty good.
Crafts Workshop is the name of the building you can build in some regions that generates hegemony every turn.
Yes ... i played another round ... destroying harvester did not do anything ... i won the round with 30k ... i just focused attacks on the regions of the faction with the highest hegemonie after me and took them ... and liberated a few regions of the other factions ... at the end i was about 10k above the second ... was a lot easyer than i thought ... trying to destroy the other factions is useless if there are other ways to win ... the only thing i still wonder about is how to get the mechanical units ... i get the support drone but not the other ones ... what building or research do i need for that stuff !? ... its not that important cause the basic troops do the job good enough ... having the high end tech would be nice anyways ...
