Can you share your system specs?
Alternatively, trying to launch the game with OpenGL instead of DirectX (or vice versa) has remedied similar reports in the past!
We'll try and get to the bottom of this for you, apologies for the inconvenience here!
James
I know you were really hoping for that little ego boost today, but in the interest of transparency I felt obligated to let you know.
No worries, sorry for the issues here but cheers for your interest all the same!
Have a great weekend,
James
Played tutorial some initial GPU settings issues. Switched to OpenGl played some tutorial. Looked foward to game a little bit today but game didn't launch.
For whatever reason compatibility modus for Win 8 did fix it.
Steam -> Dune Spice Wards -> Browse Local Files -> Right click on D4X.exe (open context menu) -> click properties -> Compatiblity -> Run this program in compatibility modus for: -> Windows 8 -> Apply
Try to start the game otherwise undo these steps.
Win 10,
AMD GPU 6750xt
AMD CPU 3600
I had played 8 hours thus far. Today however I wanted to play again but I am being denied.
Nothing has changed on my end in terms of PC components.
I validated files. That checks out green.
I uninstalled then reinstalled but that had no effect.
Of note, the End User License Agreement will not appear. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I've seen that EULA pop up for other games I hadn't touched in a while but those games work just fine post EULA acceptance.
