I hope that come release, at least on normal difficulty the AI plays by the same rules as the player.
They can be starve and can die from not paying tax.
I witness the Landsraad murder the Harkonnen because of that.
That's good to know. I was trying out the tactics of the books' tagline "he how controls the spice, controls the universe" and it just didn't seem to be doing anything.
Guess I need to play longer to see the effects.
Having said that, it doesn't really seem to have a noticeable impact on their action economy at least, though Fremen at least are a bit more defensive compared to the others in such a situation.
Speaking of Landsraad standing however, feels like Feyd's Corruption ability is kinda weak against the AI, for the amount of investment it requires it doesn't seem to chip much at the AI's standing now, even if they're missing the tax too.
Could just be me doing it wrong, just feels like the only viable option left after trading and stealing spice fields is just not that potent for its cost. And if you're able to do the latter, you might as well just finish em.
Any negative resolutions/penalties player can be hit with - AI is also crippled by. Ofcourse, the higher the difficulty - the more AI has buffs for production/incom/etc. Still, doable but a little harder on insane.
That has been tested and reassured via many players from insane difficulty. And. whatever works on harders one - works even more on lower difficulties.
