Game won't launch

I bought the game a few days ago. I'm on windows 11, the game won't launch, I get a small black text window that pops up and then the game crashes. I've verified the files, forced Dx12, uninstalled and reinstalled. Run the game as admin. I've disabled my 2nd monitor and even disconnected it. Nothing fixes it, same result each time. Game won't launch. Updated with latest patch, game still won't launch.


OS: Windows 11 Pro
CPU: Ryzen 5600x
GPU: Radeon RX 480, 8GB VRAM
RAM: 16 GB 3600 mHz



Solution that worked for me:

I had to create a text document of "options.ini" in steamapps\common\D4X that states
"Driver = DirectX" and now the game launches.

Working solution (for me...) : edit options.ini in steamapps\common\D4X
The line "Driver" was empty, i put "Driver = DirectX" and it works !

Still unable to lauch the game since last update or so

No word about it anywhere, did everything about directx/opengl I could, game would just not launch and not a single error message or anything.

I got it to work by going to the install folder and opening the game from there. The desktop shortcut the game creates still doesn't work even after the latest update.

Games launches for a few seconds, opens the command prompt window then closes. Spec ok, drivers updated, option.ini didn't work. I thought the advantage of Steam was that I wouldn't have to edit files like the old DOC days!

Same problem... And sometimes after reboot my PC I success to play but after a few minutes the game freeze :(
