Corino Base system is really working ?
What is happening with the expand system of the Corino ? Second main base does not work everywhere, in some teritory the ground do not fit. Did I miss something ?
Where can I read how does this work precisely ? It's very obscure...

I only used it once, but as far as i remember it does not allow you to touch the city during placement, so i would guess that some ground near cities is not enough to place the entire building.

Took me a few tries but eventually I managed to place it and remove the village. Its super finicky though!

How do you deploy the base once you are able to do so? :2018salienbeast2:

I believe you can have 2 main bases, but they can't be put everywhere, and you basically lost the region you put it in. Wtf guys, tell me now this was beta tested, for real ?
Hope some devs can explain this, that would be really helpful ...

What exactly don't you understand?

Its exactly that, you place 2nd base in neutral or friendly region and have access to a whole another part of the map as corrino is balanced around grabbing territories around their main bases and playing tall.

And yes, it was beta tested.

1 - you can't place your 2nd base on every neutral regions because, for some reasons, the option does not appear
2 - where you have the option, sometimes the ground does not fit
3 - you lost the ressource on the region you place your base on. Oh my god, if only there is a super precious ressources, that would be annoying right ???

That. I fail to understand AFTER it was beta tested.

1) Obviously you can't place it on deserts, where there are no villages.
2) That is to optimize with tile generation, its early access after all.
3) Then..... put it on a tile next to it? You're making a problem that does not exist.

Strawman, not worth answering, move along please.

In regards to 1: you cannot place it in unique regions
And on 3 you can do this to deny access to an enemy’s resource and have a forward base near them for quick reinforcements

Played several hours on Corrino. Here my thoughts on second Main base :

Where to put them :
- Can't put them on Hegemony regions
- Can't put them on some regions with not enough rocky space.
BUT : there are plenty of regions with no resource production and 2 wind power. Seemed a waste of authority to conquer them before. Now they are the perfect landing place for your second base.

Authority penalty :
- The second base should be here to counterbalance the 100% Authority distance penalty. You can place your second base far from your first one, and so open a grand new territory, with direct airplane travel.
Thing is, sometimes the penalty distance is effectively lowered, but sometimes you still have territories around your second base with the distance penalty taking in account your first base position. So you totaly loose the Auhority interest of your second base.
Don't know if it's a bug, or if there is an explanation.

Construction bonus : with 2 main bases you can have 2 Tier 3 development bonus. It's the only faction with this ability.
And with House Corrino playstyle, having the ability to combine Economic and Espionage Tier 3 bonus is the real combo.

Fully furnished achievement:
- You need to "own at least 12 main bases" as House Corrino. Shouldn't be able to do it on a single game, cause you are limited to 2 main bases.
Is it calculated with addition to numerous plays ? Or do you have to move your second base 12 times around the map ?
If someone from the 0,1% who have achieved this one can answer, would be great.

Just my 2 cents, could be wrong on some points.

Devs, can the base placement be changed so that you don't have to physically maneuver the base on the tiles to get the perfect sweet spot? It should be set up in such a way that you just click the village you want to replace, confirm, and the base replaces it. Not play Tetris with the tile to find the one perfect sweet spot on the rock.

I agree, it should automatically land on the center, and save time

+1 If it will replace the village anyway, then let it just auctomatically deploy dead center on it.

Place the second base is indeed bad, as it doesnt show where it can fit, took some min to figure a possible place out.
