Why did price in PLN increased so much today?

I wanted to buy it today while the price without any communication went up so significantly today.

Going by the price chart on steamdb, it clearly was a massive error over regional pricing and someone probably lost a job.

that what I was thinking - too bad I didn`t catched it before they fixed the price - I learnt not to buy games in a hype train :) will wait for -50% discount at full release.

... except wages in Eastern Europe countries are neither in Euro nor comparable to those in Western parts... so it was actually fair price for once.
Regional pricing was supposed to be about purchasing power, not simple currency exchange.

Glad that I buy this game for 70 zł (PLN). I will not buy this game for 107 zł. For me it was a good price (70 PLN) for EA, not finished game, without a half of content and me as a beta tester.
And now game rise up about 55% . Sad

I also bought the game for 70 PLN and after playing for about 30 hours I would say the fair price would be about 80-90 PLN considering good quality but limited content. I would never pay 110 PLN for an early access game.

Be happy. Here in Slovakia it costs 29.99, so the same as in rest of western Europe, yet our wages are sometimes even lower than in Poland. But it is kinda same with everything not only games. We get prices as in western europe, but the wages are like in east and sometimes worse:)

Because that is how it was before.

Before Steam took priority on games market, prices in PL were on level of 69-99PLN ($15-$25) for AAA game - still some titles at launch day games cost 159PLN ($39) on shelf but it was rare situations - mainly due to good policy of polish distributors like CD Project.

unfortunately, soon as we achieved such pricing hegemony of STEAM starts to overtake prices on market. For very first years we were charged on STEAM as western EU countries - the shock was when we had to pay for the game 250PLN ($59) - which back then was more than shelf price for console games in PL. Still shelf price for PC games was much lower, around 159PLN but we never seen again prices like 69-99PLN ($15-$25). Shelf price changed as well and soon we had to pay same amount as on STEAM.

The last game with reasonable price was Witcher 3 (if I remember correctly) which had "old time" pricing here in PL.

Nowadays, I learnt not to buy games for $40+ as as time showed the discounts comes immiediately. I can wait, so many good games we have on market :)
