Were the only good Dune Games, & if
i'm not mistaken... Dune II improved everything on the 1st Game...
Kinda like the T1 & T2 thing was done...
-------------------
People would debate which was better, though Dune I or Dune II...
I heard the new Dune Movie was crap,
but never saw it, & kept wanting to, just I keep thinking it's gonna suck... So I just keep blowing it off...
1.) The large Sand Worm in the Trailer, was the biggest thing that keeps me from watching it, the Worm looks poorly CGI together, oO
2.) I get the feeling the only thing they got right was the design of the World...
But I could be wrong, oO
Never got a chance to read the books or novels, knew about the Encyclopedia, but never got a chance to grab a copy of it myself...
I've played Dune I, but only owned Dune II on a CD, & still have it, including what should be the box it came in somewhere... :)
At least you're honest about it. It's apples and oranges. At this point I have to conclude y'all are trolling with these comparisons between this game and the westwood RTSes. Like, you can't be that daft and ignorant.
It's a bit funny keep seeing it mentioned here as some good game that should have been copied
It is Dune 2000 redone but with freman as the 3rd faction, pulled the same Duke Leto speech used to sell D-2000. I don't see where the dev's can take this game to far but one can hope. You can bet they will publish so we can enjoy some questionable DLC. I will be braking out my 90's laptop and the disc for Dune 2000 to compare. I Do enjoy all things dune and will buy the game but expecting disappointment in long-term pliability and multi-player support. We need a Dune MMO. If you need something to do when you finish this re-fake. Listening to Heretics as I wright this out. Happy Spicing, Hope the Worms are cool and tougher then the original but how dose one make a worm cool?
EA had nothing to do with this, It's Funcom
