Why not?. Atleast i wished it was available digitally. All i have now is a CD copy that no longer works.
This is not a RTS, its Civilization with a Dune skin. It is avaivable digitaly, its Gruntsmod. And no, believe me, you do not want a remake of a fan loved game in the 2020s, it cant be done justice.
I just saw the word "RTS" and got excited when i first read. Then i read thoroughly and looked at the screens and then disappointment set in. Still i will keep my eye on it.
Yea. Too bad because a Dune Civilization game would have been awesome but we're getting some 4X-lite mixed with RTS instead.
I'm just happy Dune is finally getting the attention it deserves and that we're even getting new games.
I really don't know what I would be more excited about. That after (almost) 2 decades finally a new Dune game is announced & developed or a Dune 2000 Remastered would be possible.
I hope so much that Dune: Spice Wars will come with Linux support.
As we all know, hope dies last. Maybe there will be a Dune 2000 Remastered someday. There is still the possibility that the openRA project could dedicate itself to it. Finally (as far as I know) EA has published the source code after the release of Command & Conquer Remastered.
I thought I was the only one that was annoyed with the Siege Tank switcheroo
