Basically, there's no reason to have an open beta or early access.
The reason is that people get somewhat compensated for them delaying the release.
That alone is reason enough.
You are not giving anyone advise here nor have you provided any solid arguments against an EA.
All you do is "fanboying" for the developers, contributing to the fact that nothing is gonna happen.
That alone is reason enough."
Imagine asking compensation for a game u have not paid and for a game that has not been released yet. I remember a time when there wasn't any EA and there wasn't any Beta testing unless u were familiar with developers/got paid to do it. (Friends and family tests).
No one owes you anything, they haven't sold the game yet and have not yet released. so the only guy 'fanboying" here is you who are too greedy and think ur special and Req. compensation for being greedy.
wait ur turn, its almost there.
It's fascinating how you completely misinterpret the point while relying on condescension to cover up the lack of substance in your argument. Let’s break it down for you.
Compensation isn’t just about money. It’s about goodwill, engagement, and transparency, things successful companies understand.
A business that repeatedly delays a product risks alienating its audience, whether or not money has exchanged hands. The gaming industry has evolved, and acting like consumers should just "wait their turn" without question is outdated.
Your nostalgia for a time without early access or beta testing is irrelevant.
The market today rewards companies that involve their audience, not those that disappear behind closed doors. Expecting better communication and engagement isn’t greed,it’s common sense.
And no, no one is "owed" anything, but businesses that treat their audience with respect tend to thrive.
Blindly defending delays and lack of transparency as if it’s some noble virtue just signals low expectations. If you’re fine with that, enjoy mediocrity. Some of us prefer higher standards.
As the Russian proverb says, “Trust, but verify.” Developers earn trust through transparency, not silence.
U would also know then that the "Delay" if i think its the delay ur talking about was a typo. The only other delays iknow of are, them delaying the Open beta tests etc but they all happend if not for 2-4 weeks later than planned, but they did happen. and they NEVER had to do it. they did it because we requested it on Discord and they were like hell why not.
Dude, what? They do NOT need to compensate you for anything. You have paid $0. They're still working on the game. They decide when the release is gonna be. They have been transparent and engaging with the community, giving us updates of when it's expected to launch and what changes they have made.
Delaying a product does risk alienating some audience. But that's a business decision they have made. It's not your call to decide whether launching early access is good or bad for their circumstances. Let's not forget many games launched as early access flop so badly, receiving multiple negative reviews, and turn off a huge part of the audience who wouldn't pay attention anymore since the first impression is bad.
Nostalgia or not is irrelevant. What matters is they're doing the CORRECT way of doing business. They do not sell early access. They do not demand money until they offer a product they can be proud of. That's how things should be. Your tiktok attention span is irrelevant.
Not having EA gives the devs more focus on polishing and pumping the game out rather then pissfarting around trying to implement an EA. There, a solid argument
Early Access helps developers refine gameplay with real player feedback, avoiding a rushed, unpolished release, unlike your argument, which could’ve used some early testing itself.
There, a solid rebuttal.
U mean, the open Betas and the Closed Beta tests that we received and then got announced that the game will release in 5 months from the last test?
I really think ur alone in this while calling all of us "out" not sure how u still don't get the message.
Being a fanboy and disagreeing without having any solid foundation of arguments isn't of any relevance to me.
People like you and your mates aren't improving the game, just harming its development by gate keeping and glorifying everything the devs say and do.
But whatever man. Fanboys are gonna be fanboys.
As someone said, they already had beta testing. However, the point I would like to make is, they could have private testing and not need us at all. And to trump everything, they have control over the game, the have done a fantastic job so far so it is safe to assume they know what they are doing. I am not a fanboy, I am simply referring to the know facts. Clearly the game is a hit because you are thirsting for EA
