You can see our progress at that time.
We are not confident enough to deliver a precise release date right at this moment, but we can say that the game is steadily getting closer to being finished. That said, we also want to take the time to review our beta tests properly and make sure any issues that are found are resolved.
We are aiming for a proper (non-EA) release, so there is a lot of Q&A left to do, and how much Q&A needs to be done will in part be determined by how many issues are found in the open beta (and lets be realistic, there is always something to find).
Regards,
Edmon
If you have delayed the release and still can't not give a " non-precise " date, as in a month, then this isn't particularly a sign for professionalism, which you keep trying to express with these kind of statements.
This is beyond ridiculous and there is nothing wrong with an EA game if you are close to release anyway.
Do You mean new multiplayer beta will start on 12th November?
Yes.
You are one of these people on here, that do not comprehend what the community is upset about.
No one cares if they delay or not, what people do care is that they simply can't name even a rough release date and with rough estimate, I don't mean just the year, but rather the month they would be releasing in.
No one here will be offended if they say they release in october 2025 or what not, but people get annoyed if they make a huge secret out of the release date, which they definitely know already, at least the month.
I mean, imagine not even setting a proper release date, just setting a year, but then STILL delaying the game.
This is next level " wishy-washy " work they are doing here and it does not really make me want to spend my money on the game. Same feeling is shared by many others on here.
On the long run, I think people get more annoyed from a missed milestone than an absence of one.
You are probably waiting for this game, a lot, but you express it in a strange way. For sure the way you do it won't change anything.
Who says they have to miss out a milestone.
I am giving my feedback and share my disappointment with the developers on here, if it changes something or not is entirely up to the devs or rather up to how seriously they take feedback from their community.
Either way, its the least I can do.
The goal was always to deliver the game in 2024. However, our open multiplayer beta revealed some unaccounted for network and server problems that demanded resolution and took (a lot of) time to resolve.
At this time, we've decided that we will not give a projected release date until we are absolutely certain about it. As missed projections causes a flood of threads from disappointed players, who expected the game to release exactly as projected.
We take community feedback very seriously, but it is often conflicting and mutually exclusive. We cannot for example, deliver a polished complete game at launch and also do Early access (which Steam and many players see as a launch). But people argue very strongly for both.
The team has decided to take the time it needs to deliver a solid v1.0 launch and that's what we're aiming for. It won't be "much longer" but we regretably, cannot be any more exact than that at this moment.

Edmon
A day has 24 hours.
if I would be you, I would probably work on the game for at least 19 hours out of those 24 in order to get it done.
I wish you could release a single player demo for us
Play Sea Power in the meantime.
Jesus, why are you taking out your unbridled anger on a delay? That should be a good thing, it means the dev team is trying to polish the game further. People like you keep the same energy if they release it on November 12th to whine about its flaws.
This is how game dev studios fumble the bag, to rush game development to meet consumer and sales expectations rather than making..a game, that is up to the developer's standard.
