How do you compare this game to WARNO?
My friend and I also thinking about getting WARNO, because we liked this game, but this game is in alpha test and we would like to play a more refined, finished game like this game. So WARNO is pretty similar.

How do you compare it to WARNO? But, really, a comparison. Why we should get it, and why not, if we liked this game?

Thank you!

Warno is a very different play style, its much less micro intensive and the game can be made to do most things liek supply and counter battery for you, it also has less overall interaction with units like being able to set fire missions to creeping barrage and so on.

I do not personally enjoy warno even with 350 hours in the game playing with friends

better

for me warno is better right now just because it allows single player, i get its a beta test but not even a tutorial? Casual idiots like me are getting noob stomped while im just trying to learn the game and get a feel for it. Instead i get to go against sweatlord level 15s who probably got to enjoy the closed singleplayer beta test, ♥♥♥♥ me

It’s silly to call someone a sweat lord for playing longer than you. Levels are just how long someone played. The better players have higher elo. If you suck just keep playing until you learn. It’s not a very complicated game. Not everyone needs handholding to learn games. And the premise of the test is to test the servers and the mechanics. Not to introduce new players. Wait until full release if you want to do single player. If you are looking for single player content then you probably wouldn’t like a multiplayer beta test lol

Warno to me right NOW is a more fulfilling balanced and "authentic" experience because it does not need to frankly give Russia sci fi levels of handicap boost to its military forces to even have a chance in game, but this game to be is a more interesting DECK system, with upgrades instead of experience system, and a more interesting air wing roster, Warno having AI too makes it better to me again rn, but i like both, will own both and will play both alongside SEA POWER, the nuclear weapon concept in this game is amusing but ballistics missiles rn are way too op with the ability to fire, sell, and fire again being way too silly a system, frankly should probably have one launcher, one chance to use the, kinda like ENDWAR, to turn the tide or seal a win, i have never used the nukes and prob never will because it just not appealing to me but others love it

as a 500+ hour Wargame Red Dragon player, i am fully invested in Broken Arrow and in my opinion is So much better, better graphics and effects, deeper customization of unit loadouts, larger maps, more player controls over what the units can do, the Plane game atm( looking forward for even more) is amazing and actually allows u to be an ACE pilot. Radar guided can also shoot down missles, control over flares, smoke sprint, etc. So basically Broken Arrow is net superior to Red Dragon, i havent played warno, and prob wont as i will be investing heavily in Broken Arrow.

The two games are not similar enough to compare 1-1, but scratch a different itch.

Broken Arrow is closer to World in Conflict in gameplay, focusing on micro, unit individuality, and heavy teamplay.

WARNO focuses on tactical gameplay instead, you will be using all aspects yourself, and losses are permanent. Macro over Micro so to say.

The main reason to go for WARNO however is that WARNO is actually out, while Broken Arrow has no guarantees of coming out next year, as the devs have a habit of pushing the release back further and further every time they are about to get to the release date. The game is currently in a very, very rough state, as it lacks a lot of core features mandatory for a game of its kind, not to mention we are still missing 4 sub-factions, I have highest of doubts the game will release next year.

So in short, I would recommend getting WARNO if you want a different kind of experience, or if you want gameplay similar to Broken Arrow, though limited to SP due to the age of the game, check out World in Conflict.

you know there are PvE scenarios you can play? they require a teammate but im sure you can find 1 or 2 people.

Way better. A bit smaller scale and the game speed is slower. Warno is just to fast spaced for me.

Aren't there speed controls in Warno? But I suppose that'd only apply to singleplayer?

Warno
Larger scale…all the units on the map in BA can easily be just your force in WARNO the maps are bigger the armies are bigger

It plays faster….a good 25% faster

The deck system is similar but not the same as BA ….everything comes with a pre set equipment load out that you can’t modify

Pro’s

More refined gameplay….it’s evolved from its predecessors and grown over 12 years of the wargame franchise

Very VERY user friendly with you being able to auto assign units behaviours…a big one is having your artillery capable of auto firing at exposed enemies or doing counter battery against enemy artillery automatically

10v10 is great way to get started in multiplayer and to test new decks you make

More nations …and more to come…each with their own equipment or combinations of equipment for a different role specialty or ‘feel’

Great single player…with more to come

A growing mod community that will become big…same as its predecessors

Cons…there isn’t really any apart from the different style

Either way

It’s a great game…should you get it if you like BA? …hell yeah! You’ll go one of 2 ways either you’ll prefer it over BA or not but you will have and will continue to enjoy it …and it will definitely scratch the itch until BA gets released

I play both, I enjoy both….you probably will also
