10/10 would recommend. Absolutely promise you will not regret picking it up if you haven't played it before.

And eventually Call to Arms which isn't that great in gameplay \ balance
Then there's cold war WARNO (which is more akin to "Wargame" games), Regiments and modern Combat Mission games (which are clunky as hell and are running like crap).

Then there are other sort of similar games like Men of War and Call to Arms, cant recommend them as I didn’t play them though.
+1
Broken Arrow & Men of War 2 ( both unreleased ) are the best rts around IMHO,
since World in Conflict.
Call to Arms: Ostfront has no proper multiplayer tech and does not provide working large-scale battles ( IMHO its a great rts game for "small" battles though ).
CoH2 is too old and infested with hackz and chat spammers and the CoH series basically ended with that one :D
...And Eugene never completed any of their rts games...
My opinions, other people may have other opinions.
God World in Conflict was a gem in its day. I still remember the mission where the annoying tank commander guy decides to redeem himself and stands and fights long enough to trigger the nuke from his tank, dying in the process.
Character arc in a RTS, what a concept!
I knew the Single Player of WiC was great, but I never played it
Don`t know how much I played the multiplayer with buddies, perhaps one or two thousand hours ?
One of our top players was an air traffic controller and playing the game did affect his work.
The impact the game had on people, good and bad, was big.
The TA point system ( team players donating Tactical Assist Points to the gang leader ) was unique, AFAIK no rts game ever did anything like it again.
A game within a game, which bonded the entire team together.
It was awesome, but also put a lot of pressure and responsibility on to the clan leader.
If this game had WiC`s TA system, it would elevate the game to a whole new level,
then it would have a chance to beat WiC.
Wishing a nice day/night
