Good read - I sadly feel the same about it.
Multiplayer Matchmaking:
I hope they have a look at Men of War2`s multiplayer.
Players just click "Automatch" there and it works like a charm,
people get slotted into 5v5/4v4 automatically and don`t need to do anything.
If people are offered a zillion modes/player-numbers/choices
in Broken Arrow and have to click around with stuff,
it may be hard to find players...if not at launch, then someday later.
If this game works and has enough players at launch,
then I will buy this Warno 2.0 - My opinion.
It's quite a fun game, they just have not got the budget funding that WiC`s team enjoyed back then.
If they work on this and they deliver a good final working game ( +80% Steam score ),
then people will be willing to spend more over time.
I always was the "target painter" in WiC ( due to team trust/talent ) and
if they could get a bit more WiC style map target painting ( UI+map target interactions )
into the game + ramp up the graphic special effects for
( DLC? ) super weapons ( cringe love :), that would be great.
I had several WiC max slots rented game servers back then,
deliver a great game and people will spend.
Warno didn't feel like i'm part of the battle, it felt too zoomed out for my liking.
Of course if that's your thing go for it.
