Broken Arrow

🌹Warno 2.0 ? WiC vs Wargame - What do u think of Broken Arrow?🌹
Broken Arrow vs WiC vs Wargame Series/Warno vs Men of War 2:

What is your opinion...Is this more a World in Conflict or Wargame/Warno ( Eugene ) like game?

I find that the Broken Arrow Team did the job of Eugene
and completed a game from the Wargame series.:cchearts:
Eugene FAILED to EVER do that, IMHO they never managed to complete one of their games :steammocking::steamsalty:

So if one still has hopes with the Wargame series & Warno - Buy this, it's basically the first complete and proper "Eugene made game". :broflex::smuganime:

When I saw the Broken Arrows graphics ( incl. UI/map interactions ) today,
I was mega disappointed.
However, this is a good tactical game. :steamhappy:

MoW2 vs Broken Arrow:
Men of War 2 ( unreleased ) feels much closer zoomed in and it's a game where one can laugh lots with others, as it`s a bit Rambo Style...I find that Men of War 2 and Broken Arrow are two great complementary rts games, I want to play both a lot in 2024.

What do you think ? :clonecc:

BTW everybody painting genitals and symbols in the Broken Arrow preparation drawing screen is the only funny thing this game offers to laugh about, please keep that in the game - Thank you very much.

-----

I did not mention ( the otherwise great ) "Ostfront" game, because the multiplayer tech and game engine are just broken/dated,
if attempting to play matches on a larger scale.

...The CoH series ended with CoH2 :steammocking::steamsalty:

I stopped supporting Eugen, after they started to pump out low effort DLCs every couple of months. I'm all for this game, if it's a full game with reasonable DLC policy.

I'm really sad though.

When BA was first announced it just had 100% WIC vibes. I think people need new WIC.

After first test a year ago it was a mixed bag between WIC and Wargame(series).

Now though it is just full on Wargame.... I was excited for a WIC game, not for a wargame game. I also think people would much much appriciate a more easy to play, action, smaller scale title as now we have plenty of wargames available, WARNO still being in EA.

I love the looks I love the them I don't love the game itself and it made me super sad.

+1
Good read - I sadly feel the same about it.

Multiplayer Matchmaking:
I hope they have a look at Men of War2`s multiplayer.
Players just click "Automatch" there and it works like a charm,
people get slotted into 5v5/4v4 automatically and don`t need to do anything.

If people are offered a zillion modes/player-numbers/choices
in Broken Arrow and have to click around with stuff,
it may be hard to find players...if not at launch, then someday later.

If this game works and has enough players at launch,
then I will buy this Warno 2.0 - My opinion.
It's quite a fun game, they just have not got the budget funding that WiC`s team enjoyed back then.
If they work on this and they deliver a good final working game ( +80% Steam score ),
then people will be willing to spend more over time.

I always was the "target painter" in WiC ( due to team trust/talent ) and
if they could get a bit more WiC style map target painting ( UI+map target interactions )
into the game + ramp up the graphic special effects for
( DLC? ) super weapons ( cringe love :), that would be great.

I had several WiC max slots rented game servers back then,
deliver a great game and people will spend.

If they can optimize this game well (I really hope they do) then i'd play this over any warno game.

Warno didn't feel like i'm part of the battle, it felt too zoomed out for my liking.

Of course if that's your thing go for it.
