And honestly I'd love to see Italy.
Fully agree with this list.
If not included in base game, I'd also like to add various regional maps, e.g. middle eastern, asian, european, russian (seems to be ingame already) north american, so that the respective countries feel at home.
I don't get why Iran or South Korea should be in a setting of a WWIII european theater, since this setting seems to be the more probable.
The reverse was okay in Red Dragon since it was reusing assets from previous games to easily please the players that were already using them in multiplayer.
Here, it's better to develop national armies that are logical in the setting. If the story is really about Europe : Poland (West side) and Belarus (East side) are mandatory, since they would be more or less the frontlines. France, UK, and Italy should follow next.
However, if big updates should happen (with new regional maps accompaning new armies) : an asian front with China, Japan and the 2 Korea, of course. Something can also be done about India, with lots of equipments from russian and french manufacturers, + some local designs. A truly unique army.
Middle East : Israel and Iran at least.
However, I insist : Consistency should be the priority, above the "I want my country in the game".
I will agree with an Asian front China 2 Korea Japan India would be great
I'm more thinking for skirmish mode against ai more nations and flavour the better especially since most games focus on ww2 or cold war ww3 from the 80s I'm excited to play with modern equipment
Edit : you can always make a story fit - consistency as you put it, obviously in a hypothetical ww3 situation sure it will prob start in eastern Europe but it will spill and open many regional disputes and conflicts all over the globe
Of course, it would be cool to have every major armies available and plenty of maps representing every continent ; but devs are humans. The release of Broken Arrow will only have two countries, that already seems to represent a lot of work in term of 3d modeling, faction balance, customization balance, etc... I'm sure more will arrive in DLC, but not that many armies will be added, I guess.
Better to keep a good consistency by adding in priority realistic reinforcments for the specific front that is the center of the story. To be fair, if it's about Europe, there is nothing to complain about : nearly every Western european countries have their own equipments and specific doctrines. It's better for the gameplay to have multiple ways of playing than just always having T-72 and others BMPs.
As I said, however, if devs decide to make BIG updates or DLC, it would be totally OK. Just, don't bring China or Israel without content making them really central : like maps set there.
Immersion is pretty important, it's not only a MP game.
and its SLAVA!
you would, Bandera cyka.
I think that’s an interesting idea. Since it’s set in the modern era we could have the U.S. against insurgents in an Iraq/Afghanistan type insurgency maybe through a DLC. There would be a lot of possibilities through DLC campaigns.
Nation packs with 2 or 3 minimum nations and some maps included is good
