Yeah RTS is not a specific genere, it is an high-Level Name. Steel Division is also an RTS and it is different to AoE4 also CoH is different to both, let us throw Act of War, Call to Arms, Men of War, Africa Corps vs. Desert Rats, Codname Panzers, Stellaris, Star Wars Empire at War, Command & Conquer….(Maybe Total War in Real-Time-Battle)
They Are all different and they have all a different Game styl and a different Community. Please dont compare it with AoE it is Not the correct way. Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 is harder than this Game..
Codname Panzers is easier than AoE4 and the heavyiest stuff is in my opinion Call to Arm/ Men of War because of the massiv Micro-Micro-Micro-Micro Management. But it is easily to handle of you understand how to play.
Brocken Arrow is Not an „Blob all time and Nuke at Late-Game“.
Do combined Arms, Check your Ressources and Hope you have a better Strategie as your Counter Part which is preparing also for an offensiv.
Exactly it was raised in the devblog alot of the issues with the steep learning curve was just because this is a alpha demo with no autosaves. Yes learning how to use combined arms, checking resources and how to bring in unit's etc + doing the demo in 3 stages with no save so if you failed and have to do the whole scenario over was difficult
to many snowflakes lol
And with that, there’s no comparison. Graviteam owns the genre period. The most incredible, deep, complex, rewarding simulation out there. It goes on forever tactically-or can. Plus the damage/penetration charts and models are nuts!! Even down to bullets stuck in wheels!! Or spent tracer landing at the feet of soldiers…
Tbh, There’s only a few that take the next step. Call to Arms (inc DLC), Steel Armour:Blaze of War, Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942, Graviteam Tunisia and MIUS. Those tick all boxes in my 33 years of simming and I only came across Graviteam inside a year, it was so niche.
