It's awesome and you can use some tactics like in real life.
That being said, i'd prefer less micro too. The way it is now I can still myself having a lot of fun making scenarios in the editor and play SP (so i can pause) or COOP.
I hope they invest 100% into allowing the AI control most things that in real life a squad of soldiers/vehicle would handle by themselves. Watching a squad sitting in the open getting shot by a tank require *my direct order* to smoke and retreat to nearest cover/building is just really *really* frustrating.
Bro, you realize I literally clarified in my OP that I didn't want this game to be a 400 APM starcraft click fest right? And you are correct, right now, it *IS* a lot like starcraft.
I could not have said it better, I tell these guys to go somewhere and they don't have sense to not walk right out in front of Tanks and get killed instead of going around the back of the building LoL dumest soldiers ever!
Yeah Mius Front is excellent, I also like steel division 1944 as it is slower paced, SD2 is great but too fast and too clicky for me. Combat Series by battlefront would be up there but pretty much unplayable due to performance, when they upgrade to Engine 5 it's supposed to increase the performance but we will see.
I think I've either played or own most all of them except regiments. there is hardcore simulation like command modern ops, combat mission, mius front, armored brigade, then moving down in to more tactical less simulation you get to the wargame/steel division games and going further down the simulation line games like blitzkrieg, end war, ruse, many more.
