It's similar to Wargame in many aspects, but it's more in-depth, but it's also on a whole different level in terms of how absolutely hard it is. If the demo is any indication, you'll blow hours on single missions simply because you have to plan and execute every step super slowly and carefully or you will get crushed. No rushing infantry blobs into housing blocks with transports wargame-style to have the infantry from the exploding vehicles pile out into the buildings in a mad scramble about who gets to stuff more meat into the grinder and win the CQC. Tried that, lost everything I had plus all reinforcements I could afford in less than 2 minutes.
It's a different scale as well, 40 men in wargame is just a replaceable infantry blob, 40 men in this is a valuable core army group but they will also die in no time unless you support them. And btw, APCs can't fight tanks here. You'll see them pop from single hits while the tank won't care about your autocannon fire. The tank also has more range... a lot more range.
