Pretty much.

It's a very common thing used in games, nothing harmful or anything like it, if you're worried, just google it, it's completely fine.

Thanks for the reply, was a bit worried haha so I’ve definitely got to install that instead of skipping?

It's okay to just click it from the pop up, steam is very, very strict with the type of content they allow, and .net is perfectly safe

If you already have .net, you don't need to download it again, but yeah every now and again you might get it if there's an update (By every now and again i mean literally years, it's very uncommon for it to happen)

Edit: Personally, i did not get the pop up, since i already have it from other games where it has happened

Thank you so much for the replies, so so helpful! So you’ve had this pop up happen on other games then?

I have yeah, the same pop up might happen for DirectX, which is also just a thing used by basically every game nowadays, some games use other things, but yes, it can happen in other games aswell.

You can trust basically anything on steam since it's very well monitored and secured by steam themselves
