Wow Pistolero, you are really putting alot into this..........................
(customising the individual unit equipment sounds very interesting and like it will add a lot of options for fine-tuning your play style)
Realistically though, any mechanic that forces a limit removes freedom since freedom is the absence of limitation. I don't understand the people saying that SD allows freedom given how limiting the deck building there is. There are even mods that work to remove this aspect from the game, people find it so annoying.
I was looking forward to this but deck building is on the list of deal breakers for me.
So you want a game that gives you access to every single unit in a nation at any time, because, you know, freedom??? Unlimited quantities as well I presume? Because numbers limit freedom too. Probably a no points purchasing system, because again needing points to buy units limits freedom. Sounds like a game that doesn't require much preparation, thought or strategy.
Just have viable built-in decks and/or easily importable and publishable user teck support for those who don't like to build their own (I admit I didn't need the extra complexity when I was learning the game, but it's fun afterwards)
