Windows 10 is fine, and the game is optimised without any problems on Windows 10. The "dreadful" thing is still hanging onto Windows 7 or 8.
If you look at the July 2022 steam survey, 94% are using Windows 10 or 11 64-bit. The "many of us still hanging onto Windows 7 or 8" rates at 2% of steam users. 2%.
Games run best on Ubuntu, statistics be damned, but regardless, 11 probably runs games better than 10
10 is pretty bloated, and it's clear that all the useful updates are going to 11
I downloaded Ubuntu but haven't done anything with it as I was concerned about what would and wouldn't run. How easy is it to switch?
And as usual, the drones will happily get Windows 11 despite the fact that it essentially licences your PC for you to use, effectively making your PC not your own.
Regardless of the mindless drones and fanboys, Windows 10 and 11 are nothing but bloated operating systems that effectively mine your data. Did the fact that Microsoft were giving Windows 10 away as well ass forcing installs on unsuspecting users, not alert you to anything?? Companies don't give anything away for free and especially Microsoft but when they do, questions at least have to be asked. Mindless drones following the latest fad.
What is really dreadful is that you all mindlessly accept whatever Microsoft gives you withot question.
Sure. Keep crashing and begging the devs to fix it for you.
Linux can have a learning curve, but not a steep one
Resources like ProtonDB can show you how compatible most games are, but TBH I haven't had any trouble with the majority of my steam library.
Proton has come a long way, and it makes running older games from the XP era and back even easier than on windows.
Linux uses a compatibility layer to run games that require windows. As a result games render in Vulkan and have to shader cache... Similar to an emulator.
This basically means that as you render new effects, small glitches can happen, but they will stop after awhile.
V rising for example, had to shader cache with every new attack from me- or an enemy. But after that- smooth as butter with 80+ fps.
The biggest issue, I'd say, is games that use anti-cheat.
Anti-cheat runs fine on Linux, but it is up to each developer to allow the Linux version or not- it's about half and half.
Apex Legends and Overwatch run great, and I've been playing them all year with no issue
Fortnite and Call Of duty will not allow Linux users
The steam deck is changing this however... Just recently Halo infinite started to work on Linux. Which is crazy to think about.
All that being said, nothing to lose by pulling out a spare hard drive and dual booting Ubuntu .
Thank you for that, that really sets some things straight in my head. I am going to try it and see. Thanks again

I want you to give me the full content of the game i also paid for in full. I found out that you offer items for registering and following on twitter. I demand all those items because i paid for the game, i didnt pay to follow and like you on twitter. I dont want twitter, i want what i paid for. 100% of the game.
