game works with pvp in mind so i can understand why that specifically doesn't work
I definitely understand the many reasons the tile gap exists, however. Nevertheless, if someone can confirm the "Floor Distance" server setting is functional. That'd be helpful! I can't seem to make the setting work on my server. At least I can't set it to 0 or 1. As there appears to be no change on those numbers.
Since there is PvE & PvP, both can be accommodated for accordingly. This isn't a game-breaking thing. But more of a QoL feature that they intended to not be issue in the first place, which was why the setting for floor-tile gaps can be augmented. Though I just can't appear to get that setting to work below <2>.
There is numerous ways around to fixing this. Whether we can expand our border tiles to other elevation-levels on plateaus (Which completely fixes the problem I had initially). Or be able to connect clan/player-owned castle-heart borders. So that castles can be built from one elevation level to another. I hope this makes sense.
Again if anyone has credible source of info that shows that castles can be expanded unto a different elevation level then the one its currently on. (For example a plateau with 2 different levels) That'd be nice to know.
like my base on the random pve server i joined? you need to connect to a slope that is traversable and build a staircase there that goes downwards. i've also been building some sort of Compound with like 4 smaller buildings and that while only being on a Level 3 Castle heart, i have a building next to the stairs like right next to the slope no roof for stairs tho for some reason.
The other main reason could be that people can just box you in preventing you from playing the game if they block off all the slopes you will never be able to return or leave the normal way (gotta jump the cliffs, until they extend their castles to block all cliffs)
So staircases can be used to connect a lower elevation to a higher elevation? I didn't know that, I didn't even think of making stairs because theres already natural staircase on my palteau. But i'll have to give that a go!
