Corrupted server

I got my private server corrupted but I still have the latest save from trying to save it myself, what should I do ?

All depends, how did you go about saving your latest save? Did you do what I do and copy the entire Stunlock Studios folder from :

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\

If so, then just delete or move the old Stunlock Studios folder somewhere and move the saved Stunlock Studios in it's place.

OR

If you just copied the save itself, it depends if you used cloud saves or non cloud saves.

Cloud Saves Go In :
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\

Non Cloud Saves Go In :
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\

Both of which have a folder labeled V3 and another folder with numbers. You put the save file in the folder in which you can't go any further to another folder.

For Instance :

Cloud Saves Would Go In A Folder That Looks Like This :

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\765629501837496\v3\

Non Cloud Saves Would Go In A Folder That Looks Like This :

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\v3\372z47d2-b3ae-47f3-afba-25e37700ee0b\

To make things easier in the future, you should always just copy the entire appdata game folder, in this case - the Stunlock Studios folder, so it's easier to backup the save and replace. These folders contain config files for in-game settings.

Did you click on "Load Game" instead of "Continue"? To select the save, then hit host game? I take it, this is a private server save? Or did you play on someone else's server? If you played on someone else's server, then your save may be on the server hosts device.

What's the name of the file or files you have that you said is your latest save?

I moved my save back to the cloud so I can see what you see. My Cloud Save Folder has these contents ( This is the folder you want to place the save file or files. ) :

Step 1 - Backup Your Server And Saves ( Optional ) :

The Cloud And Local Saves Can Be Found :
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios

( copy/paste that line in your file explorer and hit enter )

Locate Stunlock Studios Folder > Copy & Paste Stunlock Studio Folder To A Safe Location

Step 2 - Load A Recent Backup Autosave :

Start Game > Load Game > Click On Your Server Name >
Click On Latest Save And It'll Spawn A Drop-Down Menu Of Backup Saves >
Select A Recent Save > Host Game

The saves should look something like this : "10450 07/15/24 11:25:08 AM".

You want to try to find the save which corresponds with the save file or files you moved over. Maybe the latest date you know last when it was working.

Then select "Host Game".
