Should i use paper in early game, on the desk?

wondering if i should be saving my paper, or just using it for the desk to discover random things. I think We used to use it on the desk, back in early access.

The only uses for paper and its upgrades are research-related (actual researching, building research stations and research storage, and upgrading to the next tier of paper). It's most likely faster to use the paper to progress through the game now than try to save time later by converting it into scrolls while just waiting for the right books to fall into your lap.

Hoard everything and you won't need it later. I unlocked all the research halfway through the game by hoarding paper, scrolls and other ingredients. Then send your servants out all the time and you won't ever need ingredients for anything.

and to think you could have unlocked everything right at the beginning if you used your paper instead of letting it sit around.

You can't get a research, study or athenaeum at the beginning of the game. So your comment made no sense.

You won't need paper, scrolls and ect. once research is maxed so IMO I'd use em ASAP to flesh out your research

Just use the paper. No point in holding onto it to convert into scrolls later. If you're raiding villages and killing you'll find plenty of scrolls for Tech 2 and same for Tech 3. But everyone has their own approach to playing the game so it's up to you. Paper can be used to make Storage for Research so there's that.

Paper is the lowest level of that material so use it because sooner rather then later you will be using it only to make the next level of stuff.

You unlock the Research Desk after you track and kill a V Blood Carrier. You unlock the Study after killing level 47 Maja the Dark Savant. The Athenaeum is unlocked after killing level 74 Henry Blackbrew the Doctor. There is no way you unlocked everything at the beginning of the game.

For one, you assumed I didn't unlock everything as I got the Research Desk, Study and Athenaeum. Which I did with ease without having to get ingredients for paper, scrolls and schematics. As I stated, I hoarded everything so I wouldn't need it in the future.

I was talking about unlocking all research and you replied with "You could have unlocked everything at the beginning." Not the Research Desk. Everything. That's the Research Desk, Study and Athenaeum. Everything at the beginning of the game. Like I said, your comment made no sense.

Usually, when people respond to someone else's post, it's relevant to the subject. Whether that's opinion based. Agreeing or disagreeing. Or just to share information. I was talking about unlocking all the research and to hoard everything. You replied to me, which was irrelevant in subject.

You probably thought I was talking about just the research desk. I don't know. I'm not you. That's the only logical thing I can think of that would make sense. As you still carry on and act like you didn't make a mistake. I don't care anymore.

Yeah, I'm raiding. I'm trying to get the last couple of pieces of glass, so I can get my 3rd upgrade to the castle heart.

I know I can craft it, but as I had collected most of it, just through playing, decided to start farming the last pieces.

I forget which boss even gives me access to glass, can't be far off them now. Might as well finish getting the last few pieces through farming, though. Also Copper Coins for hats (there are never any books I need, any more)

Is it those convoys that give the most copper coins, in early game? I am never paying a lot of attention, but sometimes I'll come back with like 150-200, and others with maybe 30 (sometimes even just 3 or 4) is it all just random, or are there specific mobs/places to farm for things like coins?

given that the only research bench that uses paper is the research desk. yeah. simple ♥♥♥♥.
