Updating Private Server to Gloomrot
Do you have to completely wipe the server and re-download the files? Or can you just update over your existing files and keep your configs?

They wrote only official servers will be wiped. So i assume private games are fine.

The differences in versions, just on the building mechanic alone is so vastly different that it's simply impossible to move data across.

It's as simple as that. If you update, yes, you have to wipe, end of.

If you want the new content you'll have to wipe server otherwise your playing the game pre gloomrot

Yeah I just for the very first time setup a server on a secondary PC I just built for servers specifically. Im looking for the How-to of it. Do I just stop the server and restart it?

use steamcmd and download the dedicated server files once its released.
