V Rising
Hiding all UI for OLED TVs
Hi devs. Can we have UI hiding unless we are in combat or something is needed on screen (like inventory when we open a storage box). Map should be easily movable and gps should be added so we can select on map where we want to go and lines on road will lead us there. This would reduce usage of the minimap.

As an oled owner, the chance of getting burn in from a game ui is basically zero. Unless of course you've gone out of your way to disable screen shift and logo luminance adjustment.
I can play V Rising for 10h a day. Tell me it's impossible to get burn in.
While I think it is simply better game design to have minimal and intelligent UI only when it is necessary....I dont think burn-in risk is significant. Enable pixel shift technology and it will handle the rest.

Some brands do better than others, But Ive had an LG c9 on my desk since it released like 5 years ago? Still looks fantastic and thats even with me going into engineering menu to get a boost in brightness and reduce the ABL behavior.

My oled has been powered on for upwards of 18 hours a day every day for like 18 months and I've yet to see even a hint of burn in. It's really baffling to me that people will buy oled for their main display only to spend every day worrying that they'll ruin it with their own typical daily use. I mean if your constant worry is negating the joy that you're supposed to be getting from the product then maybe the solution is to use something more conventional as your main display and save the oled for uhd films or whatever.

Exactly. The way I see it, only buy it if you have disposable income and understand it's a product that may eventually get burn in, and need to be replaced. You buy it understanding the initial cost, and cost of future replacement. This is the inherent flaw of the tech.

With minimal effort and little to no thought, they can easily go a few years without noticeable degradation.

Most people though, I recommend to buy mini led FALD type displays because of their near oled-like contrast, brightness, and longevity. The moment a person is overly concerned like OP, they probably shouldn't have bought the screen.

I don't worry about every game. Most games I play (on PS5) do not have many UI elements and they often can be hidden. I rarely play games like V Rising which sunk me for 10h per day. So this is why I have concerns. I'd rather devs only shown UI when it is needed and only have it if there is no other way. It will help immersion too. But I have old LCD spared somewhere I will use for this one.
My C1 has a permanent Windows taskbar burnt in with clearly visible quick-launch icons (Chrome, File Explorer, etc) after less than a year and that is with all protections enabled with moderate-heavy use for work/play. Its recently become a bedroom TV since the burn-in is really only noticeable against bright yellow/red/white colors. Hoping the S95B is better but anyone who says burn-in wont happen is just plain wrong - it takes awhile but any static image WILL eventually become permanent.
"I leave my oled tv idling with the windows task bar up for days on end"

Have you ever heard of a screen saver? Yes if you're wilfully negligent you will trash your oled display. You will not trash your oled display playing a video game, even if said game has static ui elements, because the display uses pixel shift and variable luminance to prevent retention. Ruining your display due to a total lack of common sense also doesn't make you any kind of authority on the subject. Btw if your oled got severe burn in "after less than a year" why didn't you make a warranty claim on the panel?

UI included. At least according to my E7. TWWH2 did it for me
