By far the hardest boss under these settings is Maja. No one else even comes close. Her combination of nearly unavoidable damage from minions and paper spam combined with summoning nearly infinite amounts of minions that she can use to heal, plus the fact that she gatekeeps arguably the most important upgrade in the entire game makes her by far the game's biggest wall. I was forced to drop her level for this fight to feel possible. I dropped it by 7 levels, and even then it was still really hard.
Another notably hard boss is Polora the Feywalker. She is actually nearly as difficult as Maja, due to her extremely beefy summons, projectile spam, and the fact that her boss arena has very little shade (my server was also on "long" daylight settings), the saving grace here is that she has no worthwhile upgrades and can easily be left until later. You can also kind of cheese her by fighting her in the tree area behind the pool.
The late game tends to be easier since you have access to more stuff. Having access to shields that can block and heal HP, for example, is very significant, as is having access to the prison cells with good blood types. Of the remaining bosses, the only one other sticking point was the Matka / Voltatia combo. You can do these bosses in either order, but they're both very tough. We eventually opted for Voltatia, though I think Matka is actually slightly easier. These bosses also both use the combination of projectile + minion spam that all hard bosses use.
And of course, the three superbosses are all very tough, though they're kind of supposed to be and they don't gatekeep your progress to any degree, so it's not a big issue.
What made that fight hard is best summed up as, how early it comes up and the amount of healing those projectiles can do.. All you have at that point are some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Copper weapons that have only a basic attack and maybe 1 merciless copper weapon at random with its Q ability, as well as very few abilities to choose from and also, Zero shield abilities.. that is for anyone who forgets, "Oh, Well Just use any Shield ability", those are unlocked from Quincey, Vincent and Kriig.
I don't think anything in the game even at the end of act 3 had as strong heals as all their projectiles could heal her or the minions, that is to say, relative to their total health and these can genuinely be spammed, because they're just Regular attacks that act as a healing ability too and a Massive one that heals almost 40% of the summons' total health.. That Is A Bonkers amount of healing for how pitiful your damage is at that point.
Honestly, it's probably better to just Skip Polora and go straight for Quincey, right? that is if you wanna negate their projectiles and turn them into attacks for you.
