That is teaming/Zerglings scum.
1)Private servers hosted by others can disappear at any moment, without prior notice and no explanation.
2)Official PVE servers will get wiped in about 20 days, so I wouldn't start there either until they do.
Otherwise a new player will likely get steamrolled in PvP by people who have had hundreds of hours of PvP experience and will absolutely not have a good time.
I tried a private server and think this is the safest way.
Maybe a few friends join me the next days.
So you learn the progression system, how abilities works, game mechanics etc.
V Rising is build for multiplayer tho, particularly pvp. So you might find some feature inconsistent in the solo run, but that's ok.
To balance the fun and the usefulness, challenge yourself to build as compact as u can without sacrificing mobility, also this is not a farming game.. you're never rewarded for farming excess of stuff, the fun is into understanding at glance what u need, take it, use it and go.
My first run i had need of tons of big chests, my lastest i ended the game with 8 basic chest through the whole thing.
Once you get that, then transition to multiplayer can't go wrong ;)
There are TONS of crap rolls on Jewels and there are TONS of crap rolls on blue and orange weapons. It is almost certain you would want A LOT more of those to get the mods you want.
Not to mention you will likely need more than a few 95%+ prisoners before Irradiated Gruel gamble gets them to 100%
