Was this ever changed?

Hi. So I've been interested in the game for a while but I was turned off by some info I heard when it was in early access that your base/castle has energy that decays when you're not actively playing the game. I just wanted to ask if this was still the case (or if it was ever the case since I admittedly only heard about it once).

If you play on a dedicated server, meaning it's running all the time, then you run the risk of running out of essence and losing your castle during extended absences.

If you play on your own private server, then the server stops running when you close the game. This means time will not pass in regards to your castle heart's blood essence consumption, so you can safely leave for any amount of time and return to everything being perfectly fine.

There are also server settings to reduce/remove this system entirely. I have reduced blood essence consumption in my server, and my base can currently last 66 days before a refill.

Tbh this meacnics exists only to be able to clear castles of people who stopped playing. Never onced it bothered me and made me feel forced to play game, so I advice you to give game a shot

In practice, unless you join an online server and just flat out leave afterwards, this mechanic basically does nothing to your castle's integrity. You'll have so much basic blood essence after one play session that you'll be able to max out the capacity on the castle easily.
