Endgame ancestral weapons rng
I get that it's an endgame kinda grind, but is there no alternative to boosting the rng chances or even buying em for, let's say, 5500 greater stygian shards? I've done at least 40 of those Greater Rift incursions and only 2 weapons have dropped yet
And not only that, I gathered up about 8200 ish shards, bought a bunch of the Ancestral sword shards and not one of them were blood infused.
The rng is a bit "too" brutal imo

Are you playing private solo?

If the answer is no, then unfortunately, yes, the RNG is a joke and there's jack you can do about it.
If yes, then save scum until you get a legendary from the vendor and don't waste your time.

Luckily I am playing solo, but didn't know you could get one from the vendor. Is the save scumming convenient or do you need to do the ol' turn off steam cloud shenanigans?

It's something like a 5-10% chance, hard to say what the odds really are, but its stupidly low and completely unnecessary.

And its pretty effortless to save scum, I've never adjusted anything in Steam.
Stand in front of the vendor and leave the game to the main menu. Click Load Game and "Go To Directory" on your world.
It'll have your Autosave file listed numerically. On the game, press Continue, buy the item, if its not orange, leave game and tab to your folder view. Delete the most recent autosave. Continue again. Repeat until you get an orange.

Same method for skipping the RNG bs on Irradiant Gruel.
Hell, if you really wanted to, you could do the same thing for skipping the RNG on Research. Only just thought of that ><

If you play solo as in 'singleplayer'. Just enable admin and start spawning them in. They are randomly rolled so you are still at the mercy of RNG. When you find one just throw away the cost in Stygian Shards and call it even~. Basically save scumming just faster.

Damn, aight good to know I'm not the only one who thinks the rng is way too scuffed. Might just spawn them in, but gotta check if that disables achievements. If it does, then I'll just save scum. Really love the game, but the rng in this is a bit, or rather just way too bad xD
