Quite easy to test, just shut down your internet connection, and see how it goes
So it works without internet, yet it speaks to servers? why? is my question i guess xD
I might just try firewalling it.
Yeah, no idea. Did you disable telemetry ? You know, the analytics. Unity games have "backtrace" also, VRising uses it. So maybe even without data collection, backtrace still sends things to Unity servers.
i did :)
This much i already know, the issue is not to do with the local V-Rising Server, but rather the outbound connections constantly occurring while playing solo/private.
Basically i'm trying to understand why it needs to do this, and in the future, if the servers go down, will i still be able to play the game i spent money on solo/privately.
Thankfully when I connected a few minutes later after my router had finished rebooting, I was still in the same place and it looked like my progress had been saved.
I do really wish I could press pause though, I live in a world where I can get called away from my PC at random times, and at the moment, I just end up shutting the game down instead.
Very interesting, thank you for the feedback, i'll have to do more testing, maybe it has something to do with anti-cheat or DRM, who knows.
SP ins't their priority, so I think not.
No. But this game was *******.
Turn off your route, you won't be able to start your "offline" solo mode.
To sum up, we don't own the game, game requires constant internet connection, and don't buy from them again.
