Solarus Brutal Shield?

I managed to get Solarus low enough to where he activates a shield but no idea how to break it. Damaging it a crap load seems to do nothing.

had a similar issue make sure you don't kill the angel b4 that shield shows up the fallen angel is what breaks that shield if it doesn't spawn you are out of luck and need to reset the encounter

Yep! I was lucky enough to get a blood moon right after posting this with a 94% draculin bloodtype. Managed to get the angel to break it and it was easy clap.

When he or the angel gets low, they pop a shield and regen back to full hp. So unless something glitches, you can't kill the angel early. Once he pops the shield, kill the angel asap and it will turn to a fallen angel that blows up the shield. The faster you do this, the less hp he recovers for his final phase.
From there, you just fight him as normal along with the aid of the angel. Though, the fallen angel dies pretty much immediately on brutal lol

i accidentally nuked the angel so hard it died instantly when it spawned so... that's how i know about the shield mechanics
