More the 5 castles

Is there a way to set the game to allow more the 5 castles per player?
Im playing alone anyways and building castles is kinda the best part in this game....
I tried editing the settings file buuuuut it didnt work......

I would've thought it would work to do it through editing the settings override file for your specific server. Did you do it on the correct file? Because on my private/personal server I have tested being able to build 7+ castles, my setting is at 50, and this is reflected in the number it says over the castle heart when going into build mode.

So it's user error making it not giving you the ability to have more than 5 castles, if so.

Well the thing is, I change it in the file. Then I load the server. But its still at five and when I open the file again it reverted the changes back to 5.....

Might it be some Steam synchronization that's messing with your files when you start the game? Because it works perfectly for me.
Though, what line/text have you been editing?

I remember changing settings via a file in the game directory in early access as once you started a session you couldnt modify most settings (for example if I wanted to bump up bot difficulty), I image a setting in this directory exists to greatly increase castle tile count and castle limit but I cant say for sure. (the reason I believe such a setting exists is that you are allowed to modify between 1-5 castles per player already ingame when setting up server)
