Better dodge?
Are there other dodges that get unlocked later or equipment that reduces the cool down?

The 8 second cooldown on the dodge is really my only complaint about the game.

It's not a dodge, it's a disappear.

There are other dodges that have special effects added to them, the chaos dodge is a double dodge, and the illusion dodge allows you to teleport back to your original location if you want.

Get in the habit of knowing all your methods of evasion. WASD can avoid the majority of attacks. You have counter and barrier abilities that negate attacks. Your weapons might have abilities that quickly move you, or even have their own i-frames. Feeding on someone gives you i-frames on the way to the target and as you move away from them when executing them.

Roll your options effectively and you can be invincible for the vast majority of most fights.

Rogue blood reduce the "dash" cooldown

as long as you have a problem with the game's dash, then you dont have a basic understanding of the gameplay.

As long as you have a problem understanding other people's issues, you don't have a basic level of tolerance.

Rogue Blood, as others said, but also the Chaos Veil allows a recast within 1 second or so. So that'll provide you double dodges every few seconds.

There are 3 other Dodges in the game, on weapons, that I know of.

The Slashers Q lets you dodge an attack. You zip back and forth so know your enemy.

Greatsword E ability Lets you leap into the Air and slam down in the same spot.

Pistols E ability lets you dodge roll and fire off an explosive shot. You have control over where to dodge roll with that one.

I wanna say Sword has I frames too, but I haven't played with it in a while, Basically you launch the sap into the air and slash getting Iframes, bosses I'm not too sure.

You should use a counter ability and save a dash for unblockable attacks.

Sword E won't launch bosses, but you can still perform the teleport triple-slash to them, which has i-frames.

Ah, okay, I just remember still taking hits with that ability with bosses. Might've been just bad timing on my end.

The Illusion Spear spell also give you a dash in whichever direction you want when cast. I loved it during EA.

While I love the sword as a general weapon. I dislike the E ability (Throw up and teleport to them ability). If you teleport to an enemy you are very vulnerable when going down after the slashes end. Ive been hit a lot after the effect ends and you are sort of stuck in animation at this point also. Not really an issue if its only 1-2 enemies, but if you push into a group it can get you killed really fast. Maybe I should re-think how I engage some fights instead of blaming the weapon :steamfacepalm:
