Yes there is a wisp to harvest but something that last longer then 10 seconds. A potion or item buff.
Thank you for giving a proper answer, compared to the other two. Yes, I think killing a boss to clear it would've been nice, a temporary clear for killing the Behemoth would be decent. It's even more bothersome that you aren't even safe from it in your own territory there. I've chosen to build there and am shoehorned into wearing Ben's cloak whenever I do, which isn't the biggest pain in the neck but the fact i have to is just more of a bother.

I do agree the mist is annoying but it is a neat and thematic thing, just makes the area stand out better - also agree it could've used some extra mechanics to make it more interesting than "you can't see haha", tho
I was honestly surprised that it didn't after defeating Matka the Curse Weaver (or whatever her name was). Her description in the V Blood menu sounds like she's the entire reason for the curse in the first place.
Obviously won't work so well on multiplayer servers, so I'd expect it to just remove the curse effect for any player that has defeated her.
I had said in my post that I had to lose my cape to lose the curse, but I suppose that's vague to say that I'm already aware of this. Thank you for sharing anyway in case somebody else might not be aware.
I was pointing out that the mist is not much of a problem with some of the workarounds you have, especially just reserving an inventory slot for the cape and equipping it when you want your way out or to see a little more clearly. Ben is also one of the first bosses you meet while you're there.
It just feels so odd to have a mechanic that otherwise means next to nothing and doesn't actually interact much with the environment. You still burn and you still have to deal with the effect when you own and work on a territory there.
