Alternative play-style. Anyone else do this?

The big disclaimer here being I sort of had to “cheat” to make it possible…

I started a game with all items unlocked and spent probably 20 hours building a gigantic, fully decorate castle with 6 floors. (Of course with building cost set to 0)

It was a bit draining but super rewarding in the end.

I then threw away all my gear/resources and am now going through the bosses 1-by-1, only stopping to farm for the resources for gear and weapons.

It’s a different play style and while it sort of hurts the overall feeling of “power progression” it’s still a cool feeling to return to a real “Dracula castle” and plan next attacks, upgrade gear, etc

I played through the game completely, twice before. Once on vanilla EA, then again during Gloomrot.
It’s fun to play again but the idea of building another poorly thought-out, castle which I’ll need to relocate 2-3 times anyway, was really demotivating to me.

Had anyone else tried this style out? If not I recommend giving it a go.

I mean, is it really cheating if your goal is to basically ad hoc design a game mode? I don't think you got it wrong.
