Adam made me unstall the game

Adam made me uninstall this game. I was playing in normal mode, the previous bosses were challenging but after a few tries, I could defeat them. After several hours of unsuccessful attempts, farming to repair the equipment, I'm fed up with wiping on this boss with broken mechanics. Anyway, I thought the studio understood that Adam needed a rework, but apparently, that's not the case.

Consdering the fact winged horror, and solarus got bullied out of existence in like 30 seconds, but adam took over 3 minutes to widdle down... a tanky boss, sure. A AoE spam boss, sure. A crowd control boss, sure. All three at once? Who the f needs to get slapped?

i had this experience when i was about to beat adam all those lightning spam and orbs lying on ground i evade all of them that includes his jump attack then the generator went on and executed me.

You're not alone. I hate this boss with a passioin. The second phase after you kill him at first is completely unneccessary. 89th item level, purple weapon, all the cool stuff potions, all lvl1 talents, some lvl2 and lvl3 talents too. And I finally beat him the first time.
Let's just say I did not deserve to be fooled so hard.
Yeah, sure, I get it, I am bad at videogames, I lack skill and all that.
Played the game when Adam was among the three last bosses (couldn't beat him).
Still cannot beat him.

I've been seeing so many complaints about Adam that I was dreading him for a while.
But after fighting him I don't really see the big deal.

I mean... I can see how he can be an absolute nightmare with the 70% brutal damage buff, but without that he's just a difficult boss. Far less annoying than some of the other bosses in the game.

Solarus was tough, but fair.
Winged horror was completely harmless because of green bolt.
Adam was rough. There is far less mobility and the "adds" are a far more serious threat.

Take some of Adam's difficulty and move it to winged horror.

I couldn't kill Adam either in the gloomrot update and not because of hes move set or anything but that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ power grid of his that I kept getting zapped on and then got repeatedly screwed over as a result of disrupting the tempo of my own moves...
The funny ♥♥♥♥ is this tho: in a duo we wiped the floor with Adam and barely either of use ever got below 70%HP it was stupidly simple to pull it of: the one guy that wasn't chased by Adam would nail the generators and made enough space to comfortably roam around and make Adam whiff just about all hes attacks we even made 2 more attempts for each one of use and we both managed to kill him without the other person doing a single hp worth of damage on him...

So long story short its not Adam that's killing you but hes stupid power grid keeping you penned into half a boxing ring's size just so you are forced to either split second insta-react to hes moves or get shoved a big fat one up the rear end... so in a way you can call this bad design by default because unlike all the other bosses where any style could work, for this one you are either good at close quarters melee combat and thrive or get bent over and f'ed otherwise...

Either way this time around hes going down for sure, i was quite close to getting him down solo several times but now with the passives and legendary weaponry i don't expect ill fail again.

I'm currently at Styx's tier of bosses and need to grind hardcore(Bellmont got nailed but i have yet to unlock sanguine reapers&slashers) to get myself all the passives I want and a few legendary weapons : Mortira's lament(the reaper) and cloud dancers(slashers) have especially caught my eye, alternatively a decent whip for my needs would also be nice(spell CRR+MS/weapon AS is what i'm really after)

BTW how are you guys finding the new weapons ?! for me the long bow is decent but nothing special but the whip is brilliant for me as it put me at the perfect range to side step/doge a move then get in a few cheap shots risk free and f'off the way as soon as i'm targeted again... I find the new armor sets are also very nice to mix and match from and so far i have never used a full suit of smth just 2-3 pieces from the brute set(AS+weapon skill leech/extra hp) together with 2 scholar pieces(spell CRR/leech) tho draccula's set may be worth having a full 4 piece set of a kind but that would only be possible after the game is literally over&done with progression wise..

I read brutal Adam was hard but he's the same as he was in early access. The shield around the bolt generator was the only thing but even still, Henry was tougher cause of the tiny arena and bolts coming in fast.
Adam is still Adam on brutal plus shield generator. Normal should be easy seeing as you have access sooner to this generators. Once those get cleared you have a fight thats fairly simple.

Adam is by far the hardest boss in the game, at least on normal difficult, but it's not impossible, my build was: 100% scholar blood, rage/witch potion, Chaos Volley, Frost Barrier, Veil Of Frost (veil of frost gives you a shield that is amazing.) and the ultimate was Raging Tempest, i was using the Maleficer set. He is hard af but not impossible, also try looking for a guide on youtube.

It's just a game. Play at your own pace and just take a stab at the boss every few days. At some point you'll get an Eureka! moment and you'll get over the fight or it won't matter to you enough and you'll rage-quit.
