Can I get ghost yarn before killing the 77L boss?

Mostly title. I'm just confused that I can unlock armor before I can even make the stuff.

But it takes ages.

I assume you gain access to the armor recipe 1st so that you know what you should unlock next. Gives you clarity on what your next progression items should be

Think I've seen it from the chests in the Ghost crystal areas of the NE zone, but not too often.

Though you can easily kill that boss early for the Ghost Yarn recipe, she's pretty simple even on Brutal. Can outrange most of her stuff and easily dodge the AoEs.

yeah i've already killed matka, just never seen it in chests.

One of my henchmen found a ghost yarn in one of the ghost villages in the cursed forest. I was around lvl 70 at that time, so i asume it may drop as the "Area loot" during the hench-missions. But it was only one time, so nothing to rely on

Yes, it's chests in ghost villages, maybe rare drop from monsters there, not sure exactly, just know that I sometimes come out with a ghost yarn or two after raiding it.
But getting it that way will take forever as I've written.

I'm gear level 67 so, I dunno about fighting the boss early.

umm...I personally never seen it drop or in chests...but maybe I wasn't paying attention.

Just discovered you can buy it at one of the vendors, so that's an option. Depends how much you need though, since Goldsun coins aren't easy to come by before you can craft them.

it does drop from chests, i had 12 in my inv beofre killing the boss on my latest playthrough.
