Gloomrot server Question

Hello!

I bought this game while it was in beta mode. I figured out how to launch my old game by going into the gloomrot branch version "legacy-0.6.x".

My question is, is there anything in the works to have game saves from the beta version shifted over to the newest version of the game after its official release?

I have to admit, i really enjoyed this game and loved it in beta mode. I was super excited for the official release, however i feel like its a huge punishment to the folks that shelled out money to this game to be limited to an old server version if they want to continue their old saves with no updates at all.

I also was hoping to play this game with some friends who didn't have the beta, and recently purchased the game after its official release as well..and they cant even play with me on my old game..this is just all really disappointing so far... are there any updates...

This is the official release. It is highly unlikely that old saves will ever be compatible with current content.

Thanks for your swift feedback :/ I appreciate it. Super disappointed here. I was lvl 41 and had a nice decked out castle and i just don't wanna put all that work into this game again... and now i feel pretty bad about having my friend buy the game to play on my game with me since they cant do that. lesson learned not to pay for games in beta mode anymore.
