you need to beat a boss before you can trade with them. all those guys with head shrouds you see walking around, attack them. one will be the boss you need.

Think about it a bit OP.. They're humans, in a marketplace, on Dunley's Farmlands, guarded by militia. They're not highwaymen robbing people and selling goods to whoever gives them coins, like the bandit merchants from Nightfade Woods, that's why those ones didn't care that you were a vampire, well, so long as you aren't attacking them ofc.


In case that's not clear, you need to unlock an ability that comes a bit later, it's from a V Blood that specializes what you need. You know those cloaked people walking around the paths? try hitting them sometimes.
