Smelter Missing?

Anyone know how to get the smelter in the new update? I have an inordinate amount of stone dust and even though i can make it into whetstone, it says i can refine it at a smelter. yet looking into all the bosses into act 2 doesn't even drop it? Where do I get a smelter?

Furnace is automatically unlocked as you advance the quest in the top-left corner.
