Good Solo Base Locations?
I bought this game after watching Crowmeda's 100 days video, and I was just wondering in advance if there are any especially aesthetic locations to build my base. I'm going to build something simple to start, but once I get far enough I would like to live in a picturesque location just because I could.

Personally I'm quite fond of the castle plot just north of Brighthaven. The westernmost plot in the north of Silverlight Hills. There's also a quite nice plot directly east of the town Beatrice is in. Dunley Farmlands.
I found a big place to build a castle and garden near a sea with a waterfall. :1ac_cute:

C shape in middle of the map, you got water for fishing, big space for building + its middle of the map co you can be fast everywhere, its close to vendors.
My favorite place is on the top-right of the cursed forest area. It looks great and even has a bridge, but the disadvantage is that the "curse of the forest" debuff is always active.

bumping this up in case of other suggestions. ^_^
I found a few nice locations.

In Farbane woods, there's a small plot on a hill next to the copper mine that surrounds a bandit camp. A nice starter home plot that has the practical use of being centrally located to all local bosses (including patrol routes, with Lydia and Tristian occasionally visiting) patrol routes) outside of two near a waygate, and the aesthetic bonus of being the house looming over the campsite.

In Dunley, I haven't checked every plot, so there's probably a prettier location, but there's a plot just east from the market that is, again, centrally located, but also has a little pond and it looks like two small territories in one plot, making for a nice split castle design.

In Silverlight, on a scouting mission, I found a huge stretch of land right under the silver mine. It is a huge plot with a connected cliff for a unique take on multi level castles.

If you are playing Pseudo-Creative, The Cursed Forest might be cool for a moody castle, but I'd say Dunley and Silverlight have the prettiest locations.
First off, for a solo game you can set the base limit to 5.
Second, bases can be transplanted now. It's a bit of an involved process, use the green castle heart.

I favor bases near merchants and mines. The one east of the copper mine is handy. The spot north of the iron mine is also close to the merchant. There is a decent spot west of the silver mine, which is far away from other teleporters.
Echoing the recommendation for custom server settings. You deserve all the things in your personal game. Here be a checklist for server settings that don't ruin the experience.

- Castle limit, set to MAXIMUM. current max is 5 per player.
- Castle size limit. Scale this in increments per tier leading to the maximum.
- Castle floor limit. Crank it if you have a good CPU and GPU. Your fans may complain.
- Squad/coven limit, set to MAXIMUM. Got 20 friends? Great. Enjoy your boss raids because they will scale... If you know you have a lot of people you can scale up boss hp.
- Consider Brutal Mode. You can change this later if you hate it.
- SERVANT LIMIT. Set it in increments per castle tier ending at the maximum.
- Servant hunt collection modifier. This is the afk part of the game. If you are doing servant hunts you are doing them to not waste time gathering resources. Increase this value.

- Silverlight, best and largest solo plot is the Northwest. You can be tier 1 and sneak from here into town for all the goodies. It is also MASSIVE for a solo player.
- Dunley Farms, the double plot west of the iron mine is the hands down "next to everything" plot. It is even adjacent to the iron mine secret exit.
- Anything in hallow mountains for the vibes.
- Gloomrot? Plots are a tad smaller but trend to be clustered in groups of 2-3 so if you make say, 3 out of your 5 castles together you get some very cool land in the north.
Don't sleep on the Hallowed Mountains if you want a snowy theme.

I've got a prison tower setup in the north west of the swamp, purely for the fun of it (that needs decorating). Also taken the north west Brighthaven spot as a throne room style castle.
There are some nice locations within Dunley and Farbane with waterfalls and stuff nearby, but it becomes difficult to see them if you're building tall.

Proximity to key locations is kinda irrelevant if you're playing solo. Turn off teleportation restrictions on materials and once you unlock the "teleport dominated humans to prison" item you can set up anywhere. You can dump a few "castles" that are glorified Waypoints in certain locations if you want.
My personal favorite is the plot just southwest of the Copper Mine. Sure, it's pretty plebian overall, but it has quick access to a cave outlet, you can poke your nose into the mine for a good spread of different blood types, you won't want for copper for fencing/decoration/whetstones... EDIT: west. Not east. Brain please.

Second choice for me would be southeast Silverlight. I adore this plot with every fiber of my being, and the dual-plateau setup lets you be super-creative. It's not the most convenient spot, but I'd say it's prime real-estate if you want to stretch your legs.
