Returning after 1 year and my private world is gone from the start menu.
So, I came back after a year to load my private world and It's gone...

I checked the local folders and the data is there (AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\{myID}). I assume that every time the game is updated it changes the structure because now with a new game the folder tag is "v3" and my old world was inside a "v2" folder.

I copied my world data to the v3 folder, it appears now in the load menu but it's somewhat corrupted (No response from remote host message).

Note: FYI I change my address not so long ago, so my SteamIPv4 is different now, I saw that difference with a new private world for testing. I already changed that to my old world data in the config files but with no luck.

Any advice or info that I'm missig? Maybe old versions of the game are not supported on purpose.. that would be sad for all my progress.

To play with the new content, you will need a fresh server.

old saves are deprecated for v1, they're not compatible

Old versions of the game are not supported, you are correct. I also had this when I came back to the game. You have to restart as far as I can tell. Didn't take that long to get pretty far into the game again due to the knowledge gained during my original run.

That still won't let them play on 1.0 with their old save, which looks like what they're asking.

I just accepted it and did a fresh run.

Thanks for this, I'm currently running my old save with the 0.6 version of the game. Well, at least is there.

Just means you won't be able to access the new zone or fight Dracula FYI, so as long as you're good with that I guess go ahead.

I wasn't happy with that and started again, but I'm already level 50 after only about 20 hours because of my knowledge from my old run.

While a lot stayed the same, a lot was added. New difficulty (with new stuff for every boss), new weapons, magic revamp, enhanced refiners, can sit in chairs! And much more. Enjoy your visit to your old castle, but I do recommend moving into the new update when you're ready. There's plenty to enjoy.

Yep, I know I'm stuck with old content but at least I can play chill with my old castle. I will start a new world maybe soon.
