What's a Mortium Rift?
I'm looking at running an offline game profile and saw a setting for Mortium Rift, but I don't know what that is, can someone expain?

The new world events that spawn stygian shards. There are two--one midgame and one endgame--that run on a set interval and you go to them to kill a bunch of things and collect a bunch of shards.
You'll be doing a lot of them as an endgame grind.

No, pve, it's an event.

Is both, If you play PvE server then you are also competing with others for the stygans, actually is worse in PVE server because you can't do thing if someone is just sitting there holding F stealing your stygans and whatever artifact weapon drops.

I just unlocked the eye to find the rift yesterday. How do the events look like? Is it safe to go for it with gear level 47 on brutal?
