Even so, it has a solution for anyone who wants to avail themselves.
Do something else for 5 minutes and wait for them to get bored.
It's an absolutely different game with different mechanics.
Yes, some things are common among peers, but in other survivals you don't get instantly rolled by 4 people, and in some cases you can even kill all 4 of them without being much more skilled than them, I'm looking at ARK and Rust, for example, but I could talk about many others that have similar mechanics.
V-Rising, however, is a game more focused on an RPG aspect, you don't have a rifle that if you headshot someone you instantly take them out of the fighjt so it's only 3 people now.
Not only this, but all the suggestions I made, are literally just to stop scum-player griefers from, well, griefing.
If you come attack people in the middle of bosses, gank on people with full parties vs 1, or gank people with much lower levels, it's not people who are weak because they don't want to deal with people like you, it's you who are of a weak mindset because you know if you fought in equal terms you would lose, so the only way to make yourfelf feel good is by griefing lower levels and taking the advantage by creating unfair situations that have nothing to do with your skill or planning mindset, but just the fact that the situation is naturally unfavorable to the other person.
The thing is Devs know about it and decided not to introduce any protections. It's their design choice.
As support of this I offer the constant protest against SBMM.
There is little reason to kill a low level player unless they attacked first; they wont have loot you need/want and they wont be a test of your skills (or they shouldn't be at least). It really is just to grief.
But some flock to PvP for rather anti-social reasons which is another entire discussion.
Didn't you mean support for SBMM?
In a game like V Rising you really need a harassment reporting system to keep bullies in check. Otherwise they harass people off servers "for fun" or just threaten with harassment unless you give them X resources. I've seen it happen a more than a couple of times on a solo/duos pvp server. I can only guess it gets worse in merciless.
We can't go around the fact that zoomers use word of mouth a lot more than millennials and boomers, so when word gets around people just don't want to play online.
They want to roll the other side, not fight it.
Some people will find ways to be toxic even about playing Stardew Valley.
You get to experience the whole game, without it being a huge exercise in frustration.
