i got some iron ore the quest has not changed and when i put the ore in my furnace it cant craft any help ? thanks

You should notice a location near Farbane's northern edge that's impossible to get into without a little help. Start there. Real answer below.

Quincey the Bandit King is who you need to kill. Obtain explosives from Clive the Firestarter in the Sulphur Quarry or Bear Form from Kodia the Ferocious Bear in the Bear Cave, break down the gates to the Bandit Stronghold, and tear him a new one.

As other's have said, its basically hunting down new bosses to unlock new refining techniques and new crafting tables. If you look on the V blood screen, it will tell you what the bosses near your level will unlock upon death.
