can we buy legendary weapon from a trader?

I look the traders I only saw purple weapon tho... Someone said you need to kill tier 2 greater rift bosses but i dont know which ones are tier 2 bosses. I play this game since 1 week so idk really, before 1.0 release i remember u can buy from a trader in gloomroth i think with onyx

Source? Forged several repeated weapons and never happened.
Rift bosses t2 are the only way i found my legendaries

Purple weapons are legendary, golden/orange weapons are unique. Purple weapons are the same as golden/orange legendary from Gloomrot update. You can buy purple weapons from north mortium vendor, with a 10% chance to get a unique. To buy them you need Greater Stygian shards from T2 rifts, they sell for 1500 a pop. Purple weapons also can drop from T2 rift bosses with a small chance of a unique.

You cannot forge a legendary and get a unique.

No, it doesn't. Buying a purple weapon from the vendor can end up with you getting a unique/orange instead of a purple

Bought my first purple from the vendor and it ended up being orange. Never been this lucky

You still have to forge the weapon to find out. You buy “broken” weapons.

The contradiction was that you can’t forge a purple and get an orange. Which he also stated you could with a 10% chance

I stand corrected you can get unique weapons by buying the purple ones on the vendor just got my pistols from spending 8k on it.
