I use frost nova and axes with maleficer outfit. Nova and jumping into the action with frenzy usually kills most groups in silverlight. But for stronger enemies there are probably better builds, some bosses are probably not doable with this setup. But I think I reached Dracula with it on normal difficulty.
Basically its a attack speed build with a lot of life steal if you land all your attacks. Heavily weapons based and not so much magic. For range attacks i'd go with what ever fits your fighting style with range weapons.
Basically Unholy is super strong. It's condemned effect makes others take more damage, and if they die while under the effect of condemned they spawn in a skeleton.
For everyday killing, Unholy can keep you safe. For bosses it's pretty viable for every encounter, save for a few here and there where a skeleton triggering a counter move but kinda punishes them for it with maybe a small effect on your end.
When I rolled unholy My go to armor was the attack speed one with green amulet. (it's been a while since I played so forgot the names). Any blood type worked well with the Unholy setup. You also have a choice of a good Ward that creates skeletons upon being struck. Unholy by itself is really good.
EDIT: I really need to wake up and proof read my own ♥♥♥♥ before posting.
