I cannot invite other players to my private game

For the life of me I can't figure this out. I'm hosting a private game. I opened my player list, there's no "invite" option. My friend sees a "join" but clicking on it literally does nothing.

I haven't played for a while, but we did manage to play together in the past, and I vaguely remember having this problem before, but I don't remember how we solved it back then.

Are you certain you didn't check LAN Server and/or Only Solo Play boxes?
And that Max Concurrent Players is set to 2+?
Finally, try starting a game other way around - maybe your firewall settings are preventing connections?

I had this issue too, and I found the solution within V Rising's in-game settings. There's an option in the General tab to 'Allow Friends Joining Through Steam'.

The Private Server Operator: Go to your Steam Friends List and right-click on your friends icon pic. Then, "Invite To Play." If that does not work, open a private message with that person and right-click on their icon pic (once they have responded to your msg, you are both online AND the server is online and open), Then, click on "Invite To Play."

Afterwards, whenever your friend(s) want to play on your server (which must be open and online at the same time), all they have to do is: Go to their Steam Friends List and right-click on the server operators name. Then, click on "Join Game."
